Four-Armed Guanyin Bodhisattva Thangka | Hand-Painted Embodiment of Infinite Compassion

The Four-Armed Guanyin Bodhisattva, revered as the embodiment of boundless mercy and wisdom, symbolizes the eternal vow to relieve suffering and guide all beings toward enlightenment. Her four arms extend in all directions, representing compassion that knows no limit and wisdom that transcends all obstacles.

In this thangka, Guanyin is depicted in radiant white, seated gracefully on a lotus moon seat. Her upper hands hold a lotus and a crystal rosary — symbols of purity and unending compassion — while her main hands hold the wish-fulfilling jewel, uniting love and wisdom. Adorned with a jeweled crown and silk ornaments, she emanates peace and divine elegance against a background of mountains, flowers, and temples that enhance the sacred calm.

Hand-painted in Lhasa, Tibet, this thangka continues the sacred lineage of traditional craftsmanship. Natural mineral pigments — including azurite, cinnabar, and malachite — are hand-ground and layered to create luminous depth and enduring color. Each brushstroke reflects meditative precision and devotion, transforming natural materials into a sacred expression of compassion. This is not simply art; it is a vessel of spiritual presence.

Created by Lixindi, a nationally recognized master of Tibetan intangible cultural heritage, this Four-Armed Guanyin thangka embodies over thirty years of artistry and practice. Renowned for his lifelike depictions and expressive faces, Lixindi’s work bridges sacred tradition and fine art. According to Tibetan belief, “the more vivid the image, the stronger the blessing” — and in this painting, Guanyin’s tranquil gaze radiates infinite love and protection.

This thangka carries the serene power of Guanyin’s compassion. Display it in your meditation space, living room, or altar to invite blessings of peace, clarity, and guidance. For practitioners, it serves as a reminder that compassion is the heart of all practice; for collectors, it stands as a masterpiece uniting faith and beauty.

“Through compassion, one sees the truth.”
Invite the gentle radiance of Four-Armed Guanyin Bodhisattva — a hand-painted thangka that embodies love, purity, and boundless mercy.

She has studied under many renowned mentors such as Niangben, Danzeng Nima, and Luozang Rejie, delving deep into the craftsmanship. Despite numerous hardships during the creative process, she has always maintained a sincere love for Thangka art.
